Inspiring the Future of Media at Dizi Günleri

Published On: November 21, 2024

We were delighted to attend the Dizi Günleri event held at Kadir Has University on November 14-15. Organized by the Popular Culture and Arts Association and EPISODE, Turkey’s first and only magazine dedicated to TV series culture, this event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with the talented figures of the TV industry.

One of the highlights was the session with Mehmet Ada Öztekin, the creator and producer of the series Kalpazan, and the renowned actor Sarp Akkaya. Their insights and experiences were invaluable, especially for fresh talents and students looking to break into the industry.

We also engaged with prominent names such as Volkan Öge, the screenwriter of Ayak İşleri; Kerem Özdoğan, the screenwriter and actor of new-generation comedy series like Prens and Var Bunlar; Sema Ergenekon, the screenwriter of series like Karadayı, Kara Para Aşk, and Yargı; and Ayfer Tunç, the screenwriter of Bir Zamanlar Çukurova, Aldatmak, and Siyah Kalp. Additionally, we connected with Ekin Koyuncu Karaman, Hasret Özcan, and Müge Akar, who promote and handle the international sales of Turkish series.

💡 The sessions were extremely insightful not only for industry professionals but also for fresh talents, students, and those unsure of where to begin with their ideas, talents, screenplays, and stories. The event was highly beneficial, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and inspiration for the next generation of creators.

We are very pleased to have participated in such a valuable event, meeting with the crew behind EPISODE magazine and we look forward to joining these events in the upcoming year. Many thanks to everyone who contributed!
