Disney+ launches in Turkey with special price offer for first-year subscriptions, announces three new Turkish original series

Disney+ has launched in Turkey as planned on June 14th, 2022. Whilst Disney+ being the biggest competitor for Netflix, HBOmax will join the competition later this year.

Early registrants grabbed the chance to purchase yearly Disney+ subscription for 279,90 Turkish liras until the launch date of the platform. Disney+ is available for 34,90 Turkish liras/month ($2) or 349,90 Turkish liras/year ($20), offering the least expensive subscription fee comparing to the other countries.

The platform offers the centennial library of Disney including the libraries of Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. Recently, The Walt Disney Company also announced ending the Disney Channel’s broadcast in Turkey and will offer the kids content through Disney+ platform as well.

The platform also announced two other new Turkish originals, “Dünyayla Benim Aramda” (Between Me and the World) to premiere in 2022, starring Demet Özdemir and Buğra Gülsoy, and another series with code name “Gri” (Gray), starring Timuçin Esen and Ebru Özkan.
